Northwestern Media’s KNWC/Sioux Falls (Life 96.5) has named Sharif Welch as the new co-host of the Life 96.5 morning show. She will be joining Brad Peterson in the morning show duties. She previously served as Life 96.5’s office coordinator.
Sharif is replacing Lauren Banik who left the morning show in September to take a new role as regional media advancement officer for Northwestern.
“When God gives you a message, He also gives you a way to share it.” said Sharif. “It’s surreal that my job is to get up each day and share God’s love! It’s better than I could have imagined.”
“Life 96.5 has been blessed to have Sharif on our staff.” said station manager Jeff Rupp. “We are looking forward to watching how God will use her to bring hope and encouragement to our listeners each morning.”
Brad told HisAir, “We simply want to be the light of Jesus to someone who needs it every morning. I cannot wait for people to get to know Sharif and quickly love her and her heart that’s on fire for Jesus.
Life 96.5 is a part of the Northwestern Media network of University of Northwestern – St. Paul. Northwestern Media stations broadcast on 108 outlets across 10 states.
