KKJM “Big Tip” Project

KKJM/St Cloud (Spirit 92.9)  listening family recently surprised workers at 20 local restaurants with large tips as part of their “Big Tip” project. Listeners were invited to add a tip to the virtual tip jar on the station’s website during a one week period. The following week, staff visited 19 local restaurants and gave tips of hundreds and even thousands of dollars to servers and workers who had just started working again after a 6 week state shutdown. A total of ,000 that was donated by listeners, the radio station and it’s sponsors was given away. Reactions ranged from shouts of joy to tears of gratitude, and were shared on Spirit 92.9’s Facebook page throughout the week of big tip giveaways.
