KJRN Names New Music Director

KJRN/Keene, TX (88.3 The Journey) has hired Jacob Fisher as its new Music Director and on-air evening host.

Jacob is a recent graduate from Southern Adventist University where he majored in Digital Broadcast Journalism. He’s worked at WBDX/Chattanooga (J103) in the production staff while in college. He moved to Texas from Georgia in July and started working with the brand-new team at KJRN after the departure of former GM Michael Agee to WGTS/Wash DC.

New KJRN GM Danae Songy says “I took my time with this hire because of what Pat Williams, founder of the Orlando Magic’s shared at Momentum. ‘Hire slowly’. It’s been a long and hard summer with so much transition, but God has been good to us every minute.”

Jacob Fisher is excited to have his first full-time job and loves telling stories and is on the air weekday evenings 7-midnight.
