KFNW Provides 155 Bibles

KFNW/Fargo (Life 97.9) partnered with the local Jail Chaplains in Fargo to provide 155 Bibles for residents of the Cass County Jail.  In their recent Fall Share fundraiser, every commitment of  per month or more for the station’s budget provided a Life Recovery Bible that will be given free of charge to an inmate, through the Jail Chaplains organization.

For over 40 years, Jail Chaplains have been ministering to men and women in the Cass County Jail.  They lead Bible studies, which are currently taking place through Bible study sheets because of Covid.  Their ministry includes providing training in parenting, addiction recovery, and anger management.  They also provide practical needs like coats, clothing, and backpacks.

Jail Chaplains Executive Director Gerri Leach said, “We are so grateful for Life 97.9 and the opportunity to partner with them in pointing people to Jesus and encouraging them to grow in their faith.”

Life 97.9 Station Manager Doug Smith said, “We are thankful that our listeners stepped up to provide so many Bibles.  We’re praying this will make an eternal difference in the lives of countless people.”
