UCB Canada Community Promotions Specialist

This Community Promotions Specialist role is responsible for supporting and making contributions to the Community Promotions Team and helping achieve the goals & objectives set out by the National Promotions Director. Community Promotions, most notably, is promoting & positively representing UCB Media to the public, sponsoring and hosting events, and developing strong relationships with community leaders to increase ministry visibility and brand recognition, resulting in increased listeners/audience, and deeper relationships. The role is also a focused role to find and develop client support of UCB Media’s launch of its new Radio Station serving Saskatoon and support expansion in Western Canadian Markets. Responsibilities

Duties & Obligations

Supporting Community, Including Clients

• Partner with events that give UCB Media visibility to our target audience.
• Populate our Community Calendar with events of high interest to our target audience.
• Host events that complement existing ministries well and have a large UCB Media presence at large regional events.
• Participate in networking events.
• Train and develop volunteers to represent UCB Media.
• Record Community Connections segments for radio.
• Promote & positively represent UCB Media within the local community.
• Develop strong relationships & “presence” within the local community to increase ministry visibility and brand recognition.
• Promote events that will help to deepen the relationship between existing listeners and UCB Media
• Ensure that all Community Engagement related equipment is supplied and maintained for efficient and effective operations.
• Organize, execute, and participate in fundraising events/initiatives.
• Present our mission and ministry to Churches, church boards and potential Ministry Partners
• Collect/record testimonies related to UCB Media’s mission.
• Participate in the current social media mandate.
• Produce/create content that helps UCB Media achieve targets and goals.
• Provide a positive, energetic influence with the UCB Canada team and throughout the ministry, maintaining a harmonious work environment within headquarters and with those you work with at other offices.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Other:

• Acquire new advertising and Sponsorship Clients for On-Air, Digital advertising and Event Sponsorships
• You will be required to participate in the Employer daily prayer time.
• You will be required to participate in and take your turn in leading the Employer chapel service.

The Employee will also be responsible for other duties as may be assigned and may arise from time to time.
