River Radio Ministries, is a ministry with the mission to positively impact lives for Jesus Christ and to make the communities we serve a better place to live by providing music, programming, and outreach ministry that is uplifting and encouraging. We need someone to help tell that story and invite people to be a part of that mission!

How do you know you’re the right fit?

First and foremost, you must love people and love Jesus. Strong communication and writing skills are important, and the ability to juggle lots of details will be a huge asset to this role.

Ideally, you have a few years of experience in fundraising or a closely related field. If you’re not a radio person don’t let the Radio part intimidate you. You will be working with a team that has extensive radio fundraising experience and can help you learn and grow in that.

If you are organized, and flexible, willing to learn and help lead across all areas of Development/Fundraising work then you might be our person.

What would the job look like?

1. Lead Sharathons –The River operates three major radio fundraisers a year with radio, print, digital, volunteer, and personal relationship support that goes into that. Your job will be to plan and lead all of those moving parts. You will also help lead other events and initiatives to build relationships, love on supporters, and grow giving outside of those three annual events.
2. Donor Communication – Thanking, sharing proof of ministry, and inviting are the three core aspects of fundraising communication. You will help write and implement this messaging to our Ministry’s champions across all platforms – Radio, Web, Social Media, Print and Email.
3. Relationship Development – It all starts and ends with people. You will manage a portfolio of supporters with whom you’ll invest in and help grow into a deeper relationship with you and The River.
