Job Summary:
Tapping into the power of traditional and digital communication channels, the Marketing Communications Manager engages people to love Jesus, serve others, and spread Hope by introducing them to Hope Media Group and the ministry of its various brands. Working under the leadership of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for creating and expanding Hope Media Group’s digital footprint through strategic, innovative and cutting-edge communication in digital media channels including email, text, mobile technology and online communication tools.

Essential Functions
Marketing Communication
- Responsible for innovation and forward-thinking development of all email and texting strategies that connect the radio experience to the online relationship while expanding the reach locally and nationally.
- Ensure content and ministry voice is aligned across all social media, text and email channels while maintaining brand standards.
- Gain an understanding of the different target audiences of our uniquely different content channels.
- Recognize patterns as well as new features and functions that would improve efficiencies in text, email and digital communication channels and ensure digital media integrity.
- Manage all accounts with communication providers and proactively evaluate new technologies and offerings that will best serve ministry needs.
- Provide creative direction and serve as project manager for all new texting, email, and push notification developments.
- Assist with 1:1 listener communication
- Manage the execution of digital marketing, promotions, donor, or programming campaigns that include copy writing, email and text messaging.
- Collaborate with Data Sciences on effective listener, volunteer and donor communication campaigns and audience segmentation.
- Provide communication support for major ministry initiatives.
- Proactively look for ways to promote the very best content through our communication channels.
Creative Copy Writing
- Regularly produce various types of inspirational written content including blogs, devotionals, web, and digital advertising copy.
- Ensure all written content created and shared accurately represents the voice of the brand(s) and is used to deepen engagement and grow each channel’s audience.
- Collaborate with donor, prayer, programming, and digital content to create innovate ideas for written campaigns.
- Responsible for the creation and enhancement of editorial content for ministry and/or marketing email campaigns, developing ongoing communication with current and future donor base.
- Oversee, develop, and execute Hope Media Group email communication and/or email campaigns for marketing, promotions, and programming.
- Manage monthly distribution calendar that aligns email sends across all ministry departments.
- Upgrade our email templates using personalization and advanced features as warranted.
- Manage Hope Media Group marketing email databases.
- Implement strategies to capture listener data and grow ministry email lists.
- Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices.
- Conduct campaign analyses to provide insight and identify areas for opportunity.
Texting
- Responsible for the creation and enhancement of editorial content for ministry and/or marketing text campaigns, developing ongoing communication with current and future listeners.
- Develop and execute text campaigns.
- Implement strategies to grow text subscribers.
- Manage data capture and all online subscription forms.
- Leverage existing and discover new tools that connect and enhance the user experience.
- Conduct campaign analyses to provide insight and identify areas for opportunity.
Demonstrated Faith
- Pray for coworkers in team meetings
- Lead prayer in large group settings as needed
- Pray for donors when called upon to do so
- Use Christian principles to work through conflict as outlined by the Culture tool kit
- Participate in On Air Fund Raising Events and pray for donors over the phone as needed
- Participate in ministry wide Christian bible studies
- Attend weekly Staff Gatherings for prayer and devotions

Requirements
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Creative Writing, Journalism or similar preferred
Experience:
3-5 years’ experience in managing digital communications including email strategy and copy writing
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be bilingual in Spanish – Written and verbal fluency
- Knowledge of and proven ability to build creative and impactful social media campaigns with the potential to “go viral”
- Strong written and oral communication skills (including presentation)
- Must be innovative, proactive, and detailed oriented
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners
- Experience with all digital platforms
- Proficient user of Mac and PC
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including: Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere
- Basic knowledge of HTML
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Familiar with Google Analytics and other web analytics tools
- Passion for new concepts and possess relevant creativity that will expand the presence of Hope Media Group
- Heart for Christian ministry
- Strong moral character
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Spiritually grounded and working knowledge of scripture
- Must be an active member of a Bible believing local church
