Brighter Media Group Promotions Coordinator

BRIGHT-FM and Brighter Media Group (Peter & John Ministries) are currently hiring a Promotions Coordinator.

Position: This position is full-time with flexible hours based on event schedules.

Location: Baltimore, MD

We are looking for just the right person to join our “Department of Fun” as a Promotions Coordinator! As part of the promotional team for Brighter Media Group, you are responsible for planning and executing promotional activities like BRIGHT-FM van stops, hosting our tables at area concerts, and helping people with BRIGHT-FM giveaways. You must love meeting people, have lots of energy, and be ready to work with one of the most excellent teams in Christian broadcasting and digital media. You need to be able to think on your feet and provide ideas to enhance BRIGHT-FM’s visibility, engage with listeners, and help support our programming, events, and advertising departments. RESPONSIBILITIES

Here are the main things you need to be successful:

  1. Promotional Strategies: Under the direction of the Director of 48Live, you will collaborate with the General Sales Manager (GSM) and the Director of Programing and Content (DPC) to develop promotional strategies aligned with the station’s objectives.
  2. Event Planning and Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute Brighter Media Group sponsored events, radio remote broadcasts, and community outreach programs. Ensure seamless coordination with internal teams, external vendors, and event sponsors. You may also be asked to create promotional materials, including writing copy for on-air talent and for social media.
  3. Listener Engagement: In-person at events, via social media and videos, you must be focused on engaging the listener. Creating a fun, exciting, and welcoming atmosphere at any event but with the ability to stop and empathize or pray with someone who is struggling. You will be required to shoot mobile pictures and video of all events and may be asked to be part of an on-air segment about an event. You are the face of BRIGHT-FM.
  4. Contest and Giveaway Management: Manage prize fulfillment documents and ensure compliance with FCC and other legal contest regulations.
  5. Volunteer Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with current volunteers. Recruit, train, and energize new volunteers for promotional activities. Maintain the volunteer website and report volunteer hours for quarterly reports.
  6. Budget Management: Manage the promotional budget effectively, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to maximize promotional impact while staying within budgetary constraints.

QUALIFICATIONS

What we are looking for in a qualified candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or combination of education/training with relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in radio promotions, event planning, or marketing.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have the ability to lift or move equipment weighing 35lbs, work outdoors during events, and travel throughout our broadcast region.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for Brighter Media Group events and promotions.
