After a great run as one of the original Fish architects, and Director of Programming of the Salem LA cluster for 20 plus years, Chuck Tyler has exited due to budget cuts.
Chuck tells HisAir, “I still have plenty of fire left in me for my next winning situation. Multi format player, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say CCM is closest to my heart. Love my work in management and talent direction, but also very much enjoy day to day content creation and on-air performing.”

New Life Radio Satellite Network-Odessa, Ukraine founder Daniel Johnson checks in with HisAir.
“Hi Ted. Wanted to give you an update from Ukraine. On Sunday, August 13, during the late night, Russian missile attacks hit the city of Odessa in two waves. A missile strike near the broadcast center of New Life Radio caused a shockwave that blew out the windows in the building, EXCEPT for the 5 studio rooms and office of the radio station! Despite the roof almost being blown off and slight damage, New Life continued their Russian and Ukrainian language radio channels uninterrupted. NLR set up a remote radio studio in Linz, Austria in case the Odessa station is taken out, and it was able to carry on the broadcasts after switching signals from Odessa to our satellite and internet networks. We credit the Lord with saving our radio facility despite the missiles coming at us. Sadly, the Russian army continues to bomb Odessa, so we ask prayers for safety from our American brothers and sisters in Christ! As soon as the war is over, our new Ukrainian service (Radio Nove Zhittya) is working to develop a nationwide network of affiliate FM stations in villages and cities across Ukraine. 97% of communities in Ukraine have no local evangelical Christian radio station.”
