After 20 years with Provident Entertainment President Terry Hemmings announced today he will exit at the end of August. 14 year Provident veteran Holly Zabka (at left) will succeed Hemmings as President, reporting directly to Randy Goodman, Chairman and CEO, Sony Music Nashville.
“Over the last two decades, Terry has played an important part in shaping Provident and we are grateful to him for his commitment to leading the business and supporting our artists, songwriters and creators for so long” shares Goodman. “As Sony Music Nashville continues to work even more closely with Provident, we are committed to strengthening that connection under the leadership of Holly as she further elevates Provident, our artists and our songwriters.”
Hemmings says, “Provident Entertainment and Sony Music have been my home for 20 years. I am grateful for the many inspiring artists, songwriters, and our community at Provident with whom I have had the privilege to work. My career here has been an incredibly special and rewarding part of my life. I wish our entire team at Provident and Sony Music Nashville the very best as I move ahead to explore new elements of my life for which my time here has equipped me. I am excited to see a new generation of leaders take this business forward and further the foundation we have built together.”
Pillar Media’s WAKW/Cincinnati (STAR 93.3) wrapped up a day and a half fundraiser for Compassion on Wednesday (8/10). STAR 93.3 listeners provided meals for over 1,100 families for one month, reaching over 185% of the goal.
STAR 93.3’s Programming Operations Director, Jeff Evans, said “We were so excited to see the outpouring of love and generosity from our listening audience. Despite an uncertain economy, they heard the need and responded to God’s call to love and care for those less fortunate.”
Compassion’s Influencer Partnership Manager, Matt Hahn, said “It was so encouraging working with STAR 93.3 in releasing children from poverty in Jesus name through the local church. I loved that listeners responded to the need to be local and global; providing food for a family for one-month.”
STAR 93.3 hosted the event in conjunction with Vidare Creative.
