This week, SiriusXM Pandora will launch a new religious hip hop channel on its main satellite and streaming radio service. With the release of Prime MT Mix and Da Fixx Radio Show on SiriusXM this Thursday, the channel Holy Culture Radio, based in Philadelphia, will make its debut. Holy Culture Radio (Channel 154) will be the “home for all Christian hip-hop and [rhythm and praise],” according to the station’s website.
“Holy Culture is tapping into [Christian hip hop] like nobody else,” the brand stated in a statement. “From showcasing future artists to debates about faith, arts, vocation, and education with industry icons and more, Holy Culture is digging into [Christian hip hop] like nobody else.” is the home of Holy Culture Radio.
Capitol Christian Music Group has promoted Phil Thornton to Senior Vice President (Capitol CMG). Thornton will work with Capitol CMG artists on new business growth, signing talent, label development, and media and touring collaborations. Thornton will start his new job on May 3 and will be stationed in Nashville at Capitol CMG’s headquarters.
Thornton previously worked at eOne Music as Vice President and General Manager of Urban Inspirational from 2012 to 2016, where he oversaw a diverse roster of gospel and R&B artists, including Erica Campbell, Shirley Caesar, Jonathan McReynolds, Tweet, and Lalah Hathaway, whose album Lalah Hathaway Live spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the R&B radio chart and won three Grammy awards.
Red Street Records announces the promotion and hires of multiple team members. Taylor Day (at left) has been elevated to Jr. Director Streaming, Marketing & Production and Madison Policastri has been added as Manager of Publishing and Promotion Administration for Red Street Country. At Red Street Christian, Kevin Rooney will step into the role of Director of A&R.
A Belmont University graduate, Day joined the label in 2019 and has quickly risen through the ranks proving to be an invaluable member of the Red Street Records staff.
“Taylor has been an integral part of our team since the day she started,” said Jay DeMarcus, CEO of Red Street Records. “She continues to impress with her work ethic, and drive. It’s an honor to watch her continue to grow, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.”
Policastri launched her career at Demolition Music Publishing as an Administrative Coordinator. In February, she joined Red Street Records to handle catalog management, session booking, and song plugging, while also coordinating radio chart data, travel, and production for radio shows.
Rooney has been a writer with Red Street Records for two years. He now moves into the Director of A&R role at Red Street Christian with an array of production, programming, and engineering credits to his name including Iveth Luna, Jason Crabb, Rascal Flatts, Crowder, Passion, Zach Williams, Avalon, Russell Dickerson and more.

Host Sharon Wilharm takes listeners on a journey through the Bible with bite-sized Bible stories featuring Bible women. Each episode is 2-minutes long.
