WBVM/Tampa (Spirit 90.5) Production director/Evening host Walter “Rob” Marsicano announced he will be retiring at the end of April.

WBVM GM John Morris told HisAir, “God sent Walt to us in 2010 after a long stint with Cox Broadcasting and a string of other stations over the last 40 years. During his time at Spirit FM, Rob, as he is known on-air, produced thousands of elements and elevated our production quality to rival mainstream commercial stations across the country.  Listeners have enjoyed his calming, reassuring presence during his prayer and reflection time.  Although behind the mic, he often would be found emceeing various events around the Tampa bay area, as well as covering Tampa Bay Lightning games for Associated Press.”

The Gospel Industry Network, also know as G.I.N. will host their first annual Gospel Industry Network Conference this summer in Florida. It will be held Sunday, July 17-21 2022 at the Chateau Mar Golf Resort in Ft Lauderdale. The conference will host Gospel music industry leaders from coast to coast.


HisAir is sorry to report Worship leader, composer Gary Lanier has passed. Gary was known for his writing music, his deep love for leading worship, and his rich baritone voice that always brought a message of hope and worship for the listener.
