Racers were excited to be back on the course for Spokane’s annual Bloomsday event. Thirty-thousand participants made their way through the 12k (7.5 mile) course and Christian music greeted them at the 3-mile marker, from KEEH/Spokane (Shine 104.9). The same weekend the station hosted a booth at the Coeur d’ Alene Family Fun Fair in Silver Lake Mall where they shared Christian resources with the community. KEEH has been serving the Spokane and Coeur d’ Alene communities since 1993.
This weekend on the Singing News Top 20 Weekly Countdown guest artists include Kim Hopper of The Hoppers, Ricky Carden of Down East Boys, Misty Treece of Sunday Drive and Karen Peck Gooch of Karen Peck & New River. The Singing News Top Twenty Weekly Countdown is heard on over 140 stations every week.
Family Life Radio/Tucson (FLR) and Curb/Word Records artists for King & Country partnered together and hosted a sold-out concert at the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, AZ.
The FLR team was there to visit with attendees, along with a free photo fun booth. Joel and Luke Smallbone of for King & Country also met with some of FLR’s ministry champions and shared the importance of ministries like FLR who connect the listeners to their music.
“For King & Country are so genuine! I was in the middle of talking to our donors before the concert when Joel and Luke popped in and surprised us all. They wanted to tell us how thankful they are for Christian radio and the support from donors who help keep us on the air. Joel and Luke are the real deal with a heart to help others to experience hope through Christ,” said Mike Kankelfritz, director of programming and morning show host for FLR.

The producers of Unlocking the Bible with Collin Smith will be changing the name of the daily 26-minute teaching program to Open the Bible, effective June 6, 2022.
The FCC reports EMF has new call letters on KWBX/Portland, OR to KSAI (90.3). And WKQW/Oil City, PA is now WLOQ. Also Growing Christian Foundation changes KZIU/Newport, WA (Spokane) changes to KJYR. While New Hampshire Gospel Radio changed WMTP/Conway, NH (91.9) to WJNH.
Live event promoted Premier Productions has hired Bonnie Marquez as the new Senior Vice President of Marketing.

HisAir is sorry to report the passing of former WPOZ/Orlando (Z88.3) employee Sheila Marie Lipinski.
She worked with Z88.3 Radio from 2005-2016.
