The search for the next Minnesota Christian Broadcasters, Inc General Manager has been narrowed down to a small group of finalists. Current GM Ric McClary announced he would retire this June. Ric told HisAir, “After much prayer and discussion with my family and my board of directors, I have decided to retire in June of 2021. It’s time to hang up the headphones at least at the radio station. We’ll see what is next in due time. It has been an incredible 40 years of broadcasting.”
WGCA/Quincy (The Mix) Associate Director Maxine Rice announces she is retiring. Maxine joins her husband, Rev. Bruce Rice, who retired earlier this year. The two helped found and operate WGCA-FM stating in 1987. Both Maxine and Bruce Rice will continue to assist the station as consultants and help in other matters as needed.
“God has done great things and will continue blessing WGCA,” Maxine Rice said. “WGCA was birthed in prayer and sustained by prayer. Only the work of our great God has allowed WGCA to exist.”
Sierra Brown is replacing Maxine Rice on March 1 as donor relations associate. Bob Daly replaced Bruce Rice earlier this year as WGCA executive director.
