KJIC/Houston (Christian Country Radio) debuted “Keep The Faith Country”, a 2-hour program similar to the original KeepTheFaith program, but features Christian Country format.
KJIC PD Sean Vaughn has been working behind the scenes with the KTF team for months in the creation of the new version.
“Last weekend was our debut of this new program, and I am excited to contribute toward its creation. Dave, Denise, Keith, Donna and all those involved really know how to produce a top of the line encouraging program to compliment our weekend programming.” says Vaughn.
KeepTheFaith CEO David Sams told HisAir, “We’ve been testing the waters in Country and doing a lot of market research after airing our Country Christmas marathon for the past five years. As a result, we’ve established a lot of great relationships with stations across the nation. We decided to go with a soft launch in Houston with New York and a handful of additional markets to follow in the weeks to come. The folks at KJIC, especially Sean Vaughn, the PD, have been incredibly helpful during the development process. As a result, Houston is actually airing the show in both morning and afternoon drive on both Saturday and Sunday–8 hours total. With both the CCM and Country versions of KeepTheFaith, we now occupy over 150,000 airtime hours per year in the U.S. and Canada. We are now exploring opportunities in Europe, as well. God knows no boundaries.”
KJIC broadcasts on 90.5 KJIC in Houston/Galveston and rebroadcasts the westside of Houston on 90.7 FM. The station began broadcasting this format in 2018 and continues to grow in popularity as a “Christian” country format.
