WRVL/Lynchburg (The Journey) received 102% of their overall goal during their Partner Invitation last week. The Journey spent Tuesday – Friday sharing stories of changed lives. One of the most interesting stories came from 9 year old Keely, who asked her parents if she could do extra chores around the house and give $20 to The Journey. She did, and listeners came along side of her and gave over $10,000 in that hour!
The Journey General Manager Mike Weston said “we are incredibly grateful to so many generous Journey listeners who became donors during Partner for the first time, or who increased their donation. During these unprecedented times, we believe that people need hope in their lives more than ever. Meeting our fundraising goal last week means we can continue to provide that hope on the radio, in the communities we serve and on social media”.
