VCY America is buying WJBR/Wilmington, DE (99.5) from Beasley Media Group for a reported $5 mil. WJBR is an adult AC station that serves most of Philadelphia with Class B 50kw signal @499 feet.
VCY America is based in Milwaukee and maintains a format of Christian talk and teaching, as well as traditional Christian music through its broadcast outlets. VCY currently operates 35 owned radio stations in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, South Dakota, Texas, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. It also broadcasts over 25 low-power FM translators.
In December 2022 VCY America announced it would purchase WFAS-FM in the New York City area from Cumulus Media, and more recently acquired WUBU/South Bend (106.3).
New on AFR is “A Disciples View” with Todd Herman” The new show airs weekdays noon-1pm.
Todd Herman is a talk show host, and formerly was a regular fill-in for Rush Limbaugh.
“Family Health Checkup” celebrates its 2000th feature episode of the program now in its 8th year.
“Family Health Checkup” is a daily radio feature produced & hosted by Doug Chamberlain for Samaritan Ministries. It’s currently heard on over 1100 radio stations in all 50 states and some international markets passing valuable and timely health tips to Christian families
