Momentum events start tonight and continue through Friday in Orlando. We’d love to see you there.

New KJIC/Houston PD Susan O’Donnell is back on the air launching her new morning show Thursday June 1st. The new morning show will air weekdays 6-9am.

Susan who joined KJIC as PD earlier this month says, “Susan told HisAir today, “I’ve missed radio and I’m not good at retirement. I need purpose and a challenge. The Vaughn family are great people and being back On Air and helping guide the future of this genre gives me happy chill bumps.”

Susan formerly was PD at KVNE/Tyler from 2013-2019 and was PD/mornings at KSBJ/Houston for nearly 20 years. O’Donnell replaces Sean Vaughn who  served 10 years as KJIC PD/mornings and has joined Moody Radio/Chicago as Technical Support Engineer.

KJIC broadcasts on 90.5 KJIC in Houston/Galveston and rebroadcasts the westside of Houston on 90.7 FM. The station began broadcasting this format in 2018.

TWR’s shortwave station on the island of Guam, KTWR, avoided a direct hit from Super Typhoon Mawar. A last-minute turn to the north seems to have allowed the broadcasting facility on the southern end of the island to escape severe damage.

TWR Guam missionaries Steve and Beth Brunson were home on assignment and visiting TWR’s Cary office this week. Steve is the chief engineer at KTWR thats 8,000 miles away.
