Josh Bailey (on left) and Matt Reed have been promoted at Capitol Christian Music Group (CCMG) to SVP, A&R and SVP, Marketing, respectively.

Bailey leads the team that oversees the creative development of the current Capitol CMG artist roster and works directly with TobyMac, Crowder, We The Kingdom, Jeremy Camp, Tauren Wells and Anne Wilson, among others. He began his career as a Business Manager for industry veteran Tom Jackson and joined Word Entertainment in 2005, working in the A&R department. He rose to Senior Vice President of A&R and Publishing at the label and was instrumental in the careers of for King & Country, We Are Messengers, Francesca Battistelli and others.

“It is such an honor to work alongside our industry-leading team developing artists, elevating their brands, and supporting their ministries,” explains Bailey. “Thank you Brad [O’Donnell] and Hudson [Plachy] for entrusting me with this incredible opportunity. I’m grateful to continue to lead in this expanded role as we partner together to build bright futures for our entire artist roster and this extraordinary team.”

Reed began his career at CCMG in 2014 as head of the label group’s digital marketing team. In 2018, he was promoted to VP, Digital Marketing & Content to lead the company’s digital strategy, innovation and advertising efforts. Reed has been integral to campaigns for Tauren Wells, Anne Wilson, We The Kingdom, Hillsong United, Chris Tomlin, TobyMac, Crowder, Riley Clemmons and more. Prior to joining the Capitol CMG team, Reed oversaw Provident Label Group’s digital marketing department, as well as contributed to the marketing and development of the Essential Worship label.

The 53rd Annual GMA Dove Awards Professional Member Submission Round will close today at 11:59pm CT. Members need to complete submissions by tonight. 


Nominations are now being accepted until May 31 for the NAB 2022 Marconi Radio Awards, which honor excellence in radio broadcasting. Award winners will be announced during a special dinner program at NAB Show New York on October 19, 2022.


The Legacy Award honors those who have made an outstanding contribution in Media and the Arts in Australia. The award is presented each year to an Individual who, during their lifetime, has made an outstanding contribution as a Christian Leader in the fields of Media and/or the Arts. Nominations close on May 31st.


CCMG artist Tauren Wells spent some time on Vision Christian Radio/Australia morning show with Robbo & Becci’s recently. They chatted  with Tauren about his new music and verything going on with him.

Kanye West, now known as Ye, won six awards at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. The musician swept all the awards from the Gospel categories at the event held on Sunday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas in the USA. Ye took home awards for ‘Top Gospel Artist’ and ‘Top Christian Artist’.

He beat Carrie Underwood, Elevation Worship, for King & Country and Lauren Daigle to win the Top Christian Artist award. He also beat gospel legend CeCe Winans, Elevation Worship, the legendary Kirk Franklin and Maverick City Music to win the Top Gospel Artist award.
