Positive Life Radio/Wall Walla, WA held their year-end on-air fundraiser December 15 & 16 with a goal for the event at $60,000.

“We went into overtime – past the time we said the fundraiser would end on Thursday evening, but we were still $400 shy of the goal,” said General Manager Chris Gilbreth. “We closed with prayer and thanked God for blessing the fundraiser. When we opened our eyes, I had to blink a couple of times because the computer screen with the totals had updated during prayer. One more online gift had come through during prayer time for $500, putting us $100 over the goal! Isn’t that just like God, to have the last word about when it’s over?”

While the on-air fundraiser finished on the evening of the 16th, by midday Monday the 20th, another $10,000 in gifts had arrived through the mail from the letter that went out before the event. That brought the total to over $70,000, a 40% increase over last year’s event and a 180% increase over two years ago.

“We had great help before, during and after the event from the team at Vidare Creative, said Gilbreth. “Their encouragement last year to try an on-air year-end fundraiser for the first time has led to a new tradition in fundraising for our ministry.”
