KWPZ/Seattle (Praise 106.5) announced it will rebrand itself as “CHRISTMAS PRAISE 106.5” beginning Friday of this week and continuing through Christmas Day on December 25. As part of the rebrand, the station will carry 100% Christmas music over the course of 29 days.
Praise 106.5 General Manager John Randolph stated: “This is really about the spirit of Christmas, and delivering that to our listeners through music and message in the next 4 weeks leading into Christmas. The response to going to all-Christmas music has been overwhelming in the past. This year we are blessed and excited to step up to provide an extra helping of hope and joy to those we are so honored to be serving in southern B.C. and the state of Washington.”
Lynette Morgan, co-host of the “A New Day with Lynette and Greg” morning show, added: “Christmas music is the perfect reminder of the joy that exists because Jesus was born. Rebranding as CHRISTMAS PRAISE 106.5 gives us an exciting opportunity to engage with the community during this busy but incredibly joyful period to close out 2021.”
“I’m always humbled by these nominations, but this one feels extra special,” shares Grant. “My producer and husband, Bernie, and I put our heart and soul into this creative process. It’s never been more personal than this one, and this nomination belongs to Bernie as much as anyone
