Nielsen AQH Share for Persons 12+, Mon-Sun 6AM-Mid – July 2022
WCSG/Grand Rapids 9.1 #1
WJQK/Grand Rapids 2.6

WCSG/Grand Rapids is flying high scoring consecutive #1’s in the Nielsen Arbitrend released today.

WCSG PD Brittany Riva says, “It’s a humbling thing to see these latest ratings. I don’t want to downplay the hard work that is put in each day by the team at WCSG, because that is a BIG part of these numbers. I think this also shows how important the messages of true hope, encouragement, and redemption are during a time which feels so dark for so many. What an amazing opportunity those of us in Christian radio have each day to share that message!”

WCSG Consultant Brian Wright tells HisAir, “This is very exiting. Fresh off a #1 Spring rating period in April May & June, WCSG surges upward again to another #1 position going from a 7.9 share to a 9.1 in May, June & July! WCSG is now #1 in share, AQH Persons and in total cume audience.

It’s the first time ever that WCSG surpassed B93, the 300,000 watt-30 year Country powerhouse, in total metro cume audience.”

Apple says it has launched two new podcast charts: Top Subscriber Shows and Top Subscriber Channels.

Apple has introduced charts for both the top 100 subscriber shows and top 100 subscriber channels, making it clearer which shows and providers are interesting enough for people to spend their hard-earned money.

Both new charts are available through the Podcasts app in the US, UK, Australia and Canada. You’ll need at least iOS 15.6, iPadOS 15.6 or macOS 12.5. They’re available through both the Browse tab and the Charts page, and are refreshed multiple times per day.

Podcast Movement takes place next week Aug 23-26 in Dallas. The goal of Podcast Movement has been to bring together and educate active and aspiring podcasters, and to grow the podcast community and industry as a whole. For more info go HERE.

If you’re attending let HisAir know, we’d like to see you there.

Some KTIS/Minneapolis listeners were able to bring some worship to their neighborhood through the KTIS Backyard Transformation. Throughout the summer, KTIS listeners were able to enter to win a grand prize of a $5,000 backyard transformation, and a private concert with KTIS artist Rhett Walker. This year’s winners live in South Minneapolis, with a backyard just a few blocks away from the center of protests and unrest that put the Twin Cities in the headlines two years ago. Friends, family, and neighbors were able to come together for a night of worship and friendship.

“The winning family is a true example of what it means to love like Jesus.” says Kristina Winger, Audience Engagement Specialist for 98.5 KTIS. “Many guests told me how they had sacrificially given of their time, energy, and resources to serve their community over the past couple of years. It was a privilege to be able to give back to them and to bless this family with the opportunity to worship alongside their friends with Rhett Walker.”
