KLTY/Dallas weekend air personality Blake Powers checks in with HisAir on his 6th month anniversary with the station. Blake told HisAir, “God gave me major secular success for 6 years with Audacy/Entercom/CBS Radio Dallas’ 98.7KLUV and the former 103.7KVIL. In addition, I have been blessed with secular successes in Denver, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Kansas City, West Palm Beach, and guest shows in Chicago and Manila, Philippines. Due to Audacy’s nationwide budget cuts and staff reductions hitting myself and others in Dallas, plus the financial effects of Covid on the Radio industry, I am praying for and looking forward to a new challenge. Fortunately KLTY PD Mike Prendergast and Westwood One – Dallas VP of Network Formats Cheri Marquart brought me aboard their respective teams for weekends/fill-in while seeking my next full-time blessing. 94.9KLTY’s management and staff gave me the warmest welcome I have received from any radio station. The positivity plus spiritual and professional support I continue receiving from Mike Prendergast and Salem Media Group – Dallas, is amazing!” Blake Powers can be reached at blakepowersradio@gmail.com and heard at www.soundcloud.com/BlakePowersRadio ,
