KNWS/Waterloo (Life 101.9) has moved David Dein from evenings afternoon host starting Monday. Dein joined KNWS last month after 20 years with WAWZ/New York (Star 99.1) as APD.
Educational Media Foundation is purchasing WSAA/Benton, TN (93.1) for $550,000 from Thomas Cashman.
Also EMF is selling WSHA/South Charleston, WV (89.3) to Positive Alternative Radio (PAR) for $100k.
Vidare Creative reports two very successful fundraisers for WKJD/Columbus, IN (The Bridge FM) and WWIL/Wilmington, NC (Life 90.5). Both campaigns were the most successful in station history.
Life 90.5’s Matt Wall said, “We set a goal that we had set in the past, but never could quite reach it. We set the same goal again, and blew past it with Vidare’s on air help… 118%! Huge Celebration!”
The Bridge FM’s Keith Maddox added, “The Vidare Creative Team was very engaged with planning and hosting. We were concerned with meeting our biggest goal ever…and we crushed it!”

This is year we are excited to get back to our annual two-day festival called “Bridgefest” in the beautiful shores of NJ, Ocean Grove! The Alliance for the Unreached estimates one third of all people on the planet have never heard of Jesus. May 23, 2021 has been declared International Day for the Unreached and is used by the Alliance to raise awareness about people groups yet to hear the Gospel.
Alliance spokesperson Wayne Pederson says, the most difficult-to-reach countries experience both persecution and government interference. But Pederson says modern technology is opening the doors to these nations, with thousands of people responding to the message.
Former NGEN/Houston PD Chris Chicago will be one of the hosts for 2020 Summerfest Sept17-18 in Los Angeles. The Christian Hip Hop festival features 70+ artists in one of LA’s Banc Of California Stadium.
Registration is open for the 2021 NAB Show taking place October 9–13, 2021 in Las Vegas. NAB Show co-located events, including Radio Show and NAB’s Sales and Management Television Exchange (SMTE), have also launched registration.
