At Moody Radio/Chicago Hannah Lynn Miller exits the Karl and Crew morning show after 8 years at the station.

Hannah says she is starting a Counseling internship soon and needed to create space to do that. In order to do this she has started her own media company called @abundantlymoremedia, where she’ll working with businesses and building their reach by telling their stories through media.

It was a record year for WORQ/Green Bay (Q90FM) Police Lights of Christmas program – raking in over $200,000 in donations. Those donations were divvied up amongst 50 law enforcement agencies across the state of Wisconsin at a celebratory Hand-Off Event at the Timber Rattler Stadium on 11/29. The donations amounted to $165,000 in gift cards (Walmart, Kwik Trip, Festival Foods, Target and Culver’s cards) for the officers to use to help neighbors in need that they come into contact with while on patrol. Another $47,500 in donated items (1000 hats, socks, gloves, reusable water bottles, toiletries, snack items) were packed into 1000 backpacks that were assembled by the officers themselves at the Hand-Off Event. At the end of the night, Q90FM staff and volunteers loaded up the squads cars, or Santa Cop Sleighs, with the gift cards and backpacks and the officers headed off armed with a way and means to help the hurt they see every day while on duty.

This is Q90FM’s 6th year since launching the Police Lights of Christmas in 2016 – starting with only 2 police departments. There are no signs that the program will slow down anytime soon as more requests come in from police departments across the state! The mission of the Police Lights of Christmas program is to shine a light on the acts of kindness that our officers do every day that go largely unnoticed by the MSM – all while helping our neighbors in need at the same time. We believe that THEIR lights shine BRIGHTER when we work TOGETHER. Through this Program thousands of officers have helped tens of thousands of neighbors in need – changing the way countless people view law enforcement!!

Curb | Word Entertainment’s artists Sidewalk Prophets announces their “I Believe It Now Tour,” will kick off Feb. 2022,

Sidewalk Prophets ends the year with current single “I Believe It Now” heading up the radio charts, as well as the return of their annual Christmas tour, The Great Big Family Christmas, which packed venues in 13 cities across the country and donated over $50,000 to families in need.

Brian Wright from Wight Media Group has an idea to share to help capture the emotions of the Christmas holiday. With many families having relatives and loved ones all over the country it would be a great time to activate the station name Long Distance Christmas Song Dedication. You can do this all day long or isolate to various dayparts. This is a way to get heartwarming stories about your listener’s family and friends on the air. You can even invite your caller to contact the person they are dedicating the song to and have them listen on line for the call. It’s a great way to help your listeners connect with family and connect deeper with your station as well! You could even randomly choose one of your callers to win a trip to go see their friend or family member in the new year!
