WAY Nation Solutions, the full service Digital Agency operated by WayFM, has hired Noah Meier as a Digital Business Development Director.  Noah who started on 10/20 is a graduate of Lipscomb University and will be based out Nashville.

Gospel Music Heritage Month was celebrated during September with a virtual town hall event called SiriusXM Presents: Gospel Goes Hollywood. SiriusXM’s Urban View host Joe Madison moderated the event with special guests who discussed the impact of Gospel music and Hollywood’s investment in this influential genre of music.

The rebroadcast is available on SiriusXM’s Urban View Channel 126 this Friday, October 22, at 8:15 am ET.


Contemporary Christian Music pioneer Ralph Carmichael (left)has passed away at the age of 94. The composer and arranger was enormously successful in a variety of genres through his 94 years but was particularly influential in CCM, where he defied the traditional conventions of his day and dragged church music kicking and screaming into modern times. He inspired the likes of CMM legends Andraé Crouch, the Resurrection Band and George Beverly Shea, but also popular icons like Nat King Cole, the Carpenters, Ella Fitzgerald and Elvis Presley himself. He was often heralded as “the father of Contemporary Christian Music.”

 


Curb | Word Entertainment and Maximum Artist Management celebrated Natalie Grant’s RIAA Gold certification for “Your Great Name” on Monday, 10/18 with a plaque presentation at the Grand Ole Opry House.
