The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) announced that it has awarded UCB an additional four frequencies – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Kelowna and Kamloops, British Columbia, and Scarborough, Ontario. This week UCB Canada celebrates its 19th anniversary.

Nineteen years ago this week, UCB’s first radio station went on the air in Belleville, Ontario.  By God’s grace and with incredible support from the community, board members, volunteers, and staff, UCB now operate 11 FM frequencies, with another in Regina to be launched in May next year.  And the expansion isn’t stopping there.

“Standing on the shoulders of those who have sacrificially given and gone before us, we now stand so that others can hear the good news of Jesus Christ in our nation,” said UCB Media CEO James Hunt.  “And others will stand on the very things you and I do today. I am humbled to be working with such an incredible team of people, hand-picked by God for this season and mission.”

On Tuesday, November 8th, from 7PM Eastern time until 2AM Eastern time on Wednesday, November 9th, the Salem Radio Network (SRN) will join forces with the new Salem News Channel (SNC) platform to provide marathon “DECISION 22” Midterm Election coverage focusing on the battle over which political party will gain control of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives for the next two years. “DECISION 22” will also  track election results in hotly-contested races for Governor from coast-to-coast. Coverage will include all major “acceptance” and “concession” speeches in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House elections as well as key local/regional races around the nation.

“This promises to be quite very possibly the most historic Midterm election and it will offer our audiences the first ever live broadcast partnership between our ground-breaking Salem News Channel and the Salem Radio Network nationwide,” states Tom Tradup, VP/News & Talk Programming for SRN.

For the first five hours starting at 7PM (Eastern time) SNC’s Andrew Wilcow and SRN’s nationally-syndicated talk hosts Hugh Hewitt and Dr. Sebastian Gorka will anchor live, no-holds-barred “DECISION 22” coverage featuring live, Breaking News updates including the latest election returns plus speeches from winners and losers in key races throughout the nation, plus perspective and analysis from invited guests including SRN hosts Mike Gallagher and Brandon Tatum live from Midterm “watch parties.”  Correspondents updating key races will include Chris Stigall of AM990 The Answer in Philadelphia covering the pivotal Pennsylvania U.S. Senate contest.

Gospel Radio Favorites welcomes new affiliate WBNI/St. Thomas, Ontario Canada. The show will air Saturday’s at 9AM and Sunday’s at 3PM ET.

Host Brian Crowe states “It is a honor to broadcast on stations all around the world, I’m amazed on how God has blessed this program and I am thankful to all the 1700+ stations who air GRF.”
