All PPM markets are in for January. Feb 2021 Nielsen PPM starts releasing on March 22nd.
KLTY/Dallas returned to #1 AQH P6+ with the January Nielsen PPM trending 6.7-7.0-6.1 AQH. KLTY PD Mike Prendergast told HisAir, “I’m always blown away by these numbers. So proud of my team and their efforts to continually improve. Frank, Starlene and Hudson in the morning got a #2 W25-54 for morning drive. Tony in middays, Bonnie in afternoon drive and MaryRose in evenings all got #1 Persons 6+.”
In Houston KSBJ is steady at 6.1 AQH good for #4. KSGN/Riverside climbs 3.9-4.3.
Regarding their Jan PPM WCIE/Tampa (The JOY FM) GM/The Morning Cruise co-host Carmen Brown tells HisAir, “As always, strong numbers mean more people are listening. We’re thankful to have their ears as we walk through a season of uncertainty, looking for hope. And if there’s ever been a time that more people need HOPE (and we like to think JOY too!), it is now!” In the Nielsen January PPM WCIE jumped 4.9-5.9 AQH to place second overall in market #17.
Also, in Minneapolis KTIS grows 4.9-5.2, and KLJY/St Louis rises 4.9-5.0. WCVO/Columbus and KSOS/Las Vegas (SOS Radio) maintain their top 10 standings. Also KJNW/KC (Life 88.5) increased 3.1-3.6 AQH.

Moody Radio Chattanooga Operations Director Paul Martin has been promoted to Manager of Network Stations for Moody Radio. Paul joined WMBW/Chattanooga in 2001 and was promoted to Operations Director in 2019. He was previously was with KJLY/Blue Earth, MN and KCBI/Dallas. Paul will remain based in Chattanooga.
Regarding the promotion Paul told HisAir, “Moody Radio has an incredible reach across the US in markets that are not currently staffed. I’m so honored to have this opportunity to connect with and represent these listeners to ensure we’re serving them in the best way possible.”
At The Life FM Network based in South Carolina Tom Rusk moves from from hosting “Saturday with Tom” show, to hosting “Gospel Tunes in the Afternoon”. Tom will be heard on 103.1,,90.5, 93.3 & 105.9 from 2-3 p.m. and all 26 network stations from 3-6 p.m. Eastern/2-5 p.m. Central. Tom says, “I’m really excited about this new opportunity and hope you’ll tune in for the greatest music on the planet – southern gospel. I invite you to join me as we continue to “live life together!” John 10:10.”
Liberty University’s Christian music radio station WQLU/Lynchburg (90.9 The Light) located on campus and staffed by students, officially marked their move to a new home last week and celebrated the opportunities that the professional-level facility will give to any and all who use it. The new location has been renovated to accommodate the station’s needs and outfitted with some new equipment to allow the station to continue its operations and open doors to new functions that may come soon.
WPOS/Toledo (Proclaim FM) announces they were voted #1 in two categories in Toledo City Paper’s Best of Toledo Contest. Best Ronored!adio Station and Best Radio Show for The Morning Mix with MD/mornings Rebecca Verdugo.
