WRVL/Lynchburg, VA (The Journey) welcomes Kate Justice as the new midday host. Kate takes over the 10a-3p slot.Kate moves into the middays after guest hosting on the morning show.

“I’m so excited about this new season and this stage of the journey in my own life and on air with this awesome team,” said Kate. “I can’t wait to see what God does and how He continues to work as I learn and grow in this role. The Journey family is incredible and I’m so looking forward to continuing to connect with everyone every day.”

General Manager Mark Edwards said, “I am thrilled that Kate has joined our team. She has done a wonderful job filling in on the morning show and we’re looking forward to listeners getting to know her and building that relationship.” ,


They’re back…. Bryan O’Neal and Brandi Lanai that is. At least for another week as the two are filling in at UCB Canada for The Morning Show with Mark and Rhonda.

Bryan and Brandi hosted mornings together for 15 years at KSGN/Riverside until O’Neal retired in 2021.

 


WFSH/Atlanta (104.7 The Fish) PD/VP of Programming, Mike Blakemore is recognized by Radio INK as one of “America’s Top PD’s”  Mike was ranked at #19. Mike has worked the commercial side of Christian radio in Atlanta for the past 15 years and has been in his current role of Salem’s VP of Programming for 5 years.


Daywind Music Group received 8 nominations from the GMA the 54th annual Dove Awards. Nominations were received in song and’or album categories in Inspirational, Southern Gospel, Bluegrass/Country/Roots, and Musical/Choral Collection categories. Results of the balloting will be revealed at the GMA Dove Awards ceremony in Nashville, TN, on October 17th, 2023. The show will air exclusively on TBN and the TBN app on Friday, October 20th, 2023.

In response to the nominations, Ed Leonard, president of Daywind Records, said, “We are so honored by all the nominations for our creators.  We are so proud of them every day, but to have them recognized by their peers and people involved in the Christian and Gospel music industry is wonderful.”


HLE Radio Program Director/morning host Hunter Logan tells HisAir the station has moved into new studios/offices. The new location is in downtown Jennings, LA just a few blocks from previous location. HLE Radio is an award winning Christian Country Music station based in Jennings. HisAir is sorry to report longtime Singing News Magazine columnist, Roy Pauley passed away Saturday, August 12th after battling cancer for the past few months.

Also, Scott Ross who was known for his storied career in radio and TV, and joining CBN in the early days of the ministry has passed away.
