Shine.FM/Chicago launches the Game Day, Every Day podcast with Coach Bud Boughton. The new podcast on the Shine.FM Podcast Channel is hosted by Coach Bud Boughton, a former college football player, coach and educator, IBM Executive, and author, who now serves as the business development representative for Shine.FM in the Indianapolis market.

Ministry Director Brian McIntyre says, “Coach Bud has lived an amazing life filled with a variety of experiences and uses those experiences from the sports world and every day life to encourage everyone to lead a life that matters. We are so excited to have Bud share this with our audience.”


WDJC/Birmingham PD Justin Brown and his daughter have been nominated in this years One Voice USA Awards in separate categories. 


Laura Kruszewski is now Marketing & Public Relations Manager at Family Radio/Tucson… Laura has been with FLR 5 years with various roles including marketing, traffic manager, and project managing for the marketing team.

Laura who just earned her MBA last year told HisAir, “God has been so faithful and has blessed me throughout my career! I started out by managing Dr Randy’s marriage conferences, then moved , which I’ll still project manage them. I love FLR and being able to work for a ministry.”


Jack Robertson checks in from WSMP/Magee, MS (Renew 96.9) with HisAir. Jack, WSMP Station Manager/Morning Host, says his wife & Afternoon Show host will join him in the Morning. Starting Monday (8/2) when it’ll be Mornings with Jack & Teresa. Jack also added Sheila Kay to the lineup to take over the Afternoon Show duties. Jack said Sheila Kay is a long-time radio vet & will be a great addition to the team.


WCLQ/Wausau (89Q) presents Hope in the Park again this summer promising it will be bigger than ever. Hope in the Park is a free community event featuring Jeremy Camp, Sunday, August 15 at Marathon Park in Wausau, WI. Hope in the Park includes a variety of activities and entertainment, food vendors and children’s activities.

WNFR/Port Huron (90.7 Hope FM) morning hosts Brian & Ellyn (Brian Smith/Ellyn Davey) are named “Best Radio Personalities” in the 2021 Community Choice Awards from the Times Herald.


HD Radio celebrated its 15th anniversary last week. HD Radio’s first car partner was the BMW Group who at that time said it was ‘one of the most significant advances in radio broadcasting history.’ 

The system was developed by iBiquity Digital Corporation, a company formed by the merger of USA Digital Radio consortium and Lucent Digital Radio. iBiquity developed HD Radio, and the system was selected by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in 2002 as a digital audio broadcasting method for the United States. iBiquity was acquired by DTS in September 2015, and the HD Radio technology and trademarks were subsequently acquired by Xperi in 2016


Congratulations to independent artist Justin Gambino who won the 2021 You, God’s Music Showcase held in San Antonio. Judges included Blanca, Jordan Feliz & Jordan Smith. The Finals will be streamed August 1st at 7PM CST on their Facebook page and YouTube Channel.
