BOOST Radio has gone on the air in its 3rd market. BOOST 92.9 Minneapolis went on EMF’s 250w translator W225AP fed via 96.3 KMWA-HD2.  Air1 was previously on the translator pending the purchase KMWA which has now closed.

PD Mike Couchman told HisAir today, “Already hearing from Twin Cities listeners! Lots of love to EMF for importing BOOST to Minnesota!”

St Louis based Gateway Creative Broadcasting launched BOOST Radio in Chicago in March as BOOST 97.5 on the HD3 of K-LOVE.  Couchman says BOOST plans to be on the air in Fayetteville NC and Pittsburgh in the near future.

WAY Radio/Jacksonville has expanded its Christian Teaching format.

WAY Radio GM Luke Stephens told HisAir, “We are purchasing WAOC AM1420 and W243AW FM 96.5, St. Augustine. Both stations will carry the teaching format of WAY Radio in Jacksonville which includes AM 550, FM 104.9, and FM 103.3. The stations are under an LMA beginning May 1 until the sale closes.”

WAY Radio also operates CCM 90.7 WAY Radio in Brunswick, GA.

Remember stations having fundraisers this week… WAFJ/Augusta, WayFM, WYGS/Columbus, IN and others.

Andrew Day exits KDNW/Duluth (Life 97.3). Andrew was evening host from 6pm to 10pm and also the assistant production director for the last year with KDNW. He has also worked at Renegade Radio/Duluth in the past. 

MyBridge Radio/Nebraska raised $500k in their one day fundraiser last week for My Bridge Espanol. 

MyBridge/Nebraska is purchased KMMK/Grand Island, NE (AM 750) in April and plans to launch MyBridge in Spanish June 1st.
