This past Sunday night, three-time GRAMMY® nominee and American Idol alum Danny Gokey was surprised with a plaque presentation celebrating the RIAA Gold Certification of his debut CCM single “Hope In Front Of Me.” The surprise presentation took place in the middle of a sold-out stop on the “Jesus People” tour in Gokey’s hometown of Milwaukee, with the commemorative plaque presented by Christian promo rep vet Chris Hauser along with Gokey’s longtime manager, Penny Railey. This marks the third gold certification of Gokey’s career, following the gold certification of his singles “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again” and “Haven’t Seen It Yet.”
“Wow, what an amazing surprise to find out my single went gold in front of a hometown audience of family and friends!” said Gokey. “It’s always an honor to celebrate a milestone like this, especially since this was my very first CCM radio release! And what an honor to have my first radio promoter, Chris Hauser there to help with the surprise! I’m truly grateful to all the people who were early supporters of what has now become a longstanding career!”

Salem Radio Network (SRN) veteran White House correspondent Greg Clugston is pulling unprecedented “double Presidential duty” this week.
On Monday (3/20) Greg served in his normal role as network Radio Pool reporter for the broadcast industry, covering President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden and other dignitaries at day-long White House events including a briefing by NSC Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby, and President Biden being introduced by Lt. Col. Jasmin Moghbeli, who will serve as commander of the NASA SpaceX Crew-7 mission to the International Space Station.
Clugston then heads to New York City…where he will be reporting Tuesday and Wednesday (3/21 and 3/22) on breaking news leading up to the anticipated arrest of former President Donald J. Trump on a Grand Jury indictment.
“This may be the first time in history a White House correspondent has covered two Presidents on two consecutive days,” observed Tom Tradup, VP/News and Talk Programming for SRN. “And if social media posts by President Trump are correct, this will be the first time in American history that a former President faces possible indictment and arrest.”
Greg Clugston’s updates from NYC will air throughout Tuesday and Wednesday on SRN News, TOWNHALL News as well as on Salem News Channel…and will include “man-on-the-street” reaction from New Yorkers to rapidly unfolding news developments involving our 45th President.
Guest hosts continue at Family Radio/Franklin as PD Vance Dillard looks for a permamnent replacement following the passing of Randy Zachary in January. This week its Todd Smith and Allan Hall from Selah guest hosting the afternoon show. They’ll entertain with stories and songs from their new CD “Greatest Hymns”. Family Radio PD Vance Dillard tells HisAir he’s narrowing his search for a new Afternoon Host. Before he names the new permanent host listeners will be treated to special guest hosts.
