Bryan Broadcasting Corporation purchased KKLB on July 23, 2012. As a part of purchasing the facility, Bryan Broadcasting filed an application to move the facility from Madisonville to its current transmit site. A change of the callsign to its current KPWJ was granted on September 3, 2012, and the station was licensed to operate from the current site on January 15, 2013.

KPWJ afternoon host Jami Mayberry tells HisAir, “KPWJ (Peace 107) has given me such a gift to be a part of LIVE local radio again for the last 10 years. It’s an answer to prayer and God is faithful.”

This mornings Hurricane Ian fundraiser on The JOY FM/Florida and the Morning Cruise was a huge success. Immediately following their own Share Drive, The JOY FM stepped up to raise over $353K (and counting) for the survivors in Florida. Because of Convoy of Hope’s partnerships, those funds able turned into $1.4 million in product and goods to be distributed throughout the coming weeks. So far Convoy of Hope has resourced 22 churches in 11 cities, serving tens of thousands of people. Today’s efforts will bring hope to Floridians hit hardest.

Convoy of Hope Partner Engagement Director Jared Mitchell tells HisAir, “If Christian radio would still like to help financially, we welcome your call. If you would like on-air interviews, our team is available with daily updates.” Reach out to Jared at 916-705-7603.
