B.J. O’Neal has exited the Chief Development Officer position at Hope Media Group. His last day is today 9/1/23.
O’Neal joined WayFM in 2003 and has held various roles including Nashville Station Manager and National Director of Business Development.
After three years service at Fair Trade in national promotions Janie Williams last day at the label is today 9/1. Janie has taken a position at Transparent Productions.
Worship 24/7 has gone on the air in Columbus, Georgia and Cusseta, Georgia at 91.1 FM. David Harms says you can now hear us in every time zone in the continental US on what are now 8 signals in the Worship 24/7 Network.
Lauren Banik has left the morning show at KNWC/Sioux Falls (Life 96.5) where she co-hosted with Brad Peterson since 2011. Lauren has taken on a new role at KNWC as Regional Advancement Officer.
Lauren told HisAir, “I always thought I’d be on air… but God lol! It was through a simple prayer of “What do you want to do w me Lord?” that led me into this new role.”
Faith Radio/Tallahassee Operations Director Ken Burns gives HisAir and update in the aftermath of Hurricane Idalia. Two Faith Radio stations remain off the air as they were hit hard by the storm.
Ken says, “Those two stations are in a couple of those counties without power and and we don’t have generators. But power crews are everywhere so maybe it will not be too long. The western side of the eyewall barely missed Tallahassee.”
Also, Ken says he was on the “Breakfast” show on TVNZ TV Network in New Zealand via Zoom talking about the hurricane.

Gospel Radio Favorites studios were severely damaged due to major storms recently sweeping through S.E. Tennessee. Lightning caused power to go out of 15 hours. One of the main computers in the studio was a total loss along with a few other electronics. Show host Brian Crowe tells HisAir they’ve raised $1,150 of a $2,000 goal to repair damages.
Gospel Radio Favorites is a syndicated Southern Gospel radio program that can be heard on over 1700 radio stations around the world.
Crowe states “This is the first time in 27 years, something like this has happened. We are scrambling to order parts and replace our primary computer and laptop which will cost us thousand of dollars, the only way we are going to get back up and running is through prayer and generous donations from gospel music fans”

WGYJ-LP/Atmore, AL (93,5 The Light) held its final broadcast yesterday as the station signed off after six years. The Church property where the station was located was sold.
The owners are contemplating on putting the station back on the air from a new location.
San Tan Educational Media will trade KFXY/Buena Vista, CO (90.3) to EMF for control of K213AT/Buena Vista (90.7) and a sum of $40,000.
Ad Astra Per Aspera Broadcasting acquires K219DC/St. John, KS (91.7) from Great Plains Christian Radio for $25,000.
CSN International has acquired five translators from Bible Broadcasting Network for a total of $75,000.
