HisAir asks you to please remember to pray for Free North Korea Radio and its ministry. May God continue to speak the Truth to the people of North Korea through the radio programs and dismantle the oppressive regime in North Korea. In order to serve the underground Christians in North Korea and bring the Good News to the East Asian country, the Seoul-based Free North Korea Radio (FNKR) provides the message of hope daily. Currently, FNKR broadcasts two hours every day seeking to enlighten the people of North Korea.

FNKR devotes 30 mins of each broadcast to gospel programs in the morning and the afternoon to spread God’s love and grace amongst the people of North Korea. The content of the programs include Bible reading, sermon from a South Korean pastor, Christian radio drama featured North Korean defectors, reading of “Tortured for Christ” written by Richard Wurmbrand, and popular gospel songs translated into Korean.

After a year and a half of quarantine life, no events, and no people, WCQR/Kingsport was ready for the Summer of 2021 to have some fun! WCQR Listener Engagement Director Amanda Hollifield tells HisAir, “What better way than with ole’ fashioned push-up fruit popsicles? You know, the kind you cut the top…. or tear with your teeth! Our team visited four local parks during the month of July for our free Popsicles in the Park program. We kept it simple…popsicles, promo swag, and pup treats! Sometimes it can be overwhelming to start a conversation with strangers and speak about Jesus. A cold popsicle on a hot summer day proved to be a great “ice” breaker. We were so excited to get out into the community, fellowship with our listeners, meet new people, and share the love of Jesus with popsicles (and puppuccinos)!”
