KBMQ/Monroe (88.7 The Cross) GM Sheryl Ford who announced her resignation yesterday, tells HisAir today, “After more than 10 years with the ministry, I’ve decided to pursue a career as a Marriage & Family Therapist and have resigned as General Manager of 88.7 The Cross, effective July 22nd. I’ve been fortunate to have had incredible support through the years. Kris Love, Chuck Finney, and Robin Roark deserve a special thank you for investing in my talent and potential. They’ve each been an integral part of my journey in the industry. Their care, integrity, and investment will always be remembered. When I accepted the role of General Manager, my priority was to rebuild ministry culture and establish a workplace where employees were healthy and respected! I’m proud to say I’ve done that and am leaving behind an incredible team. The station is healthier and more effective than its ever been, and I have no doubt they’ll continue to serve the people of Northeast Louisiana well! With the support of myself and the Board of Directors, Lynne Free, our current Donor Relations Director, will step in as interim GM when I depart. She is well equipped with a Masters in Christian Leadership and is ready to lead in this next season.”
Sheryl’s last day will be July 22nd. Finney Media has started a search for a new GM. If interested see the listing HERE.
