WDJC/Birmingham welcomes Kim Adams to the airstaff. Adams will air 7pm – Midnight Monday-Sunday starting April 19th.
Kim says, “I feel incredibly blessed to be joining WDJC. I’m hoping to build a Christian based show that will comfort, uplift, and inspire my listeners.”
Adams’ program will feature listener calls, dedications, and heart touching stories. “In a day and time when the world seeks hope and encouragement, Kim comes to WDJC eager to share both the challenge and the victory she has experienced in her own life. I consider it a blessing to welcome Kim’s voice to a life changing lineup of inspirational programming,” said General Manager, Frank Franciosi.
Kim who served as a meteorologist at ABC and NBC Television affiliates is a TELLY award winner and mother of 5 children. As a single mom, a breast cancer survivor, and a Christ follower, Kim has a wealth of life stories to share with WDJC listeners, including her experience as a Hurricane Katrina survivor.
After 15 years Brandi Lanai exits the morning show at KSGN/Riverside.
Alex Bitterling is back as the host of WCVK/Bowling Green (Christian Family Radio) The Pulse. The Pulse program airs on CFR Friday & Saturday 7-midnight and plays positive hip-hop, pop, and dance music.
This weekend The Gospel Greats will be a special tribute to Paul Heil. This will be the first show with new host Rodney Baucom (at left).
Rodney who is Network Director at The Life FM Network told HisAir, “Coming up this weekend on the Gospel Greats we’ll be paying tribute to the legendary broadcaster Paul Heil. He was the host of the Gospel Greats radio program for over 40 years. This weekend he’ll be remembered by his friends in the industry, his family and fans of the Gospel Greats. Music and commentary from Kim Hopper, the Collingsworth Family, Legacy Five, Tribute Quartet, Karen Peck and New River, Squire Parsons and many more.”
Host & founder of “The Gospel Greats” Heil passed away last December. In March this year Baucom was named new host for the “The Gospel Greats.”
The Gospel Greats program airs each week on nearly 200 radio stations throughout the United States, Canada and elsewhere. The Gospel Greats syndicated radio program now in its 5th decade, has been a fixture in Southern Gospel Music since 1980.
After five years and four months of creating tens of thousands of breaks, Lisa Williams has decided to stop her daily show “Life With Lisa Williams” that aired on over 15 stations.
Williams joined Northwestern Media as Network Talent Coach in Sept 2020 and will focus on that. Williams extensive Christian Radio career includes On-air: 1990-95 KCVO/Camdenton, 1995-96 KCWN/Pella, IA, 1998-2007 WPOZ/Orlando, 2002 WAWZ/NYC, 2007-2011 K-LOVE. 2015.
Salem Radio Network announced today that Charlie Kirk will join the WABC/New York (AM 770) and WLIR/Hampton Bays, NY lineup airing noon to 3pm beginning Monday, April 12th.
“I am thrilled and honored to take the same time and station where my friend and American hero Rush Limbaugh launched his national radio show in 1988,” said Charlie Kirk. “I am so impressed with what John Catsimatidis has done since he bought this great station, and will commit to doing my part to keep this as one of the top talk stations in America.”
Kirk joined the Salem Radio Network in the Noon to 3pm time slot last October 5th.
