National Community Church in Washington, D.C., partnered with WGTS/Wash DC to welcome thousands of people from across the area to the Easter Sunrise service on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. This year marked the 44th year of this service, which celebrates Jesus’ resurrection.

Pastor Mark Batterson shared a message of hope, recapping how, 2,000 years ago, everyone would have bet that Rome would live on perpetually. But Pastor Batterson said, “Roman coins said ‘Caesar is Lord.’ Two thousand years later, Caesar is a salad, and we are here to declare that Jesus is Lord.”

For the past two years, WGTS has partnered with National Community Church to bring believers and those curious to come down to the National Mall to hear the most remarkable story ever. This year, WGTS partnered with Pastor Batterson to create an online video series explaining Easter and inviting them to the service.

“Washington, D.C., is a great place to invite listeners and tourists from all 50 states and worldwide to come and worship Jesus together. It’s exciting to play a small role in that,” said WGTS morning show host and marketing director Jerry Woods.

Curb Word artists for KING & COUNTRY dropped their single and music video for their new re-imagined cover single of “To Hell with The Devil (RISE)” feat. Lecrae and Stryper today.

“To Hell with The Devil (RISE)”  is the latest track from the duo’s forthcoming “The Inspired By Soundtrack” album for their family biopic film, “UNSUNG HERO,” that drops on April 26, same day as the film in theaters nationwide.  The film stars Joel Smallbone; he also co-wrote the film, and it is his directorial debut.

Says the Smallbones: “What a cover this is, and a bit of an outrageous one at that!  One of our earliest memories is sitting in front of a record player holding a vinyl 45 of  Stryper’s “The Yellow & Black Attack” cover. This song was a fun one to reinvent and think through as a duo – and Lecrae, performing what we believe is one of his greatest raps yet; coupled with Michael Sweet reinventing his iconic guitar solo at the end.  We even added a new section to the song, talking about rising out of ‘darkness into light’… We hope this one brings a bit of new energy to your listening endeavors.”

New Job Alert – HMG needs a Media Producer to oversee the development, distribution, and strategic efforts of creating messaging to connect people more deeply to God through Hope Media Group’s brands and platform based in Houston.

Curb Word artist We Are Messengers, officially delivers their fourth studio effort, Where The Joy Is, today (4/5). The group embraces gratitude and the simplicity of the Gospel on Where The Joy Is, radiating as much exuberance as the title suggests.
