Salem announces that after 23 years at the helm of its Philadelphia cluster, Russ Whitnah will retire as VP/GM at the end of the year. Whitnah has been the “face” of Salem in Philly since Salem’s entry into the market. Whitnah commented, “I look forward to passing the baton to the next generation of leadership in Philadelphia. Newstalk format on KEIR-AM/ KEII-AM/Idaho Falls will relaunch this Saturday (10/1) as “Sunny AM 1260/690.” Owner Riverbend Communications says the new station will air “the Sounds Of Sunday all week plus contemporary Christian favorites. “Sunny AM” will continue to air the Dave Ramsey show live each weekday from noon to 3:00 p.m.
