AT the NAB Radio Show in Dallas:
Radio has more options and platforms than ever to both increase revenue and grow its brands. That great promise was the foundation of the spirited “Radio Digital Leadership Roundtable,” at the RAIN Summit in Dallas Tuesday, featuring a group of broadcasting heavy-hitters. “This industry can’t agree on many things, but we are in complete agreement on this topic: We’re pointed in the same direction—and all boats rise when we think in that manner,” said Buzz Knight, Executive VP Strategy and Innovation, Beasley Media Group.
“We’re in the midst of an audio revolution and we must embrace it,” Knight added. “No matter what the content form, we’ve learned how to serve our audience and clients so that we can monetize it. If it has to do with original content, we want it in our ecosystem.” He noted that while some newer audio platforms may take away from traditional listening, “it’s still affiliated with our brands. All of that content creation fills the circle, bringing the highest quality user experience, no matter the platform or device.”
