Industry News Bits 5-13-20

Congratulations the the staff at WCIE/Tampa Bay (The JOY FM) for its first ever #1 ranking. The station grabbed a 6.6 AQH P6+ in the April PPM. April Day 3 arrives later today including Columbus, KC, Las Vegas and more. Results are sponsored by Dunham+Company on HisAir and will be posted after 5pm ET. All previous April results are HERE.

Maasbach Radio/Holland show host Christy Grace checks in with HisAir. Christy says Holland will start opening up in June. She adds,”we’re doing pretty good over here. This pandemic has actually opened so many doors for the church and radio ministry. Amazing testimonies of people that are now watching the church livestream or listening to the Maasbach Radio, who usually wouldn’t step a foot inside a church! Amazing stories like that. So in the midst of all the crazy and sorrow, there is a lot to be thankful for.”

WBCL/Ft Wayne 90.3 HD2 (Rhythm & Praise)  hosted a Facebook Live yesterday with city leaders discussing race. “This will be a night of transparent and vulnerable dialogue surrounding race as we shift the way “Race and Culture” is discussed, or often times avoided. This is a safe space for all people to interact in the conversation, learn and ask questions.” according to Monique Moss, Program Director, Fort Wayne’s Rhythm and Praise.

Fort Wayne’s Rhythm and Praise is a sister station of WBCL Radio Network and both are subsidiaries of Taylor University Broadcasting Incorporated.
