Salem’s recently purchased KZTS/Little Rock reveals its new format. KZTS (101.1) will be the new home for Conservative talk “The Answer” moving from KHTE  (96.5,). Salem is ending an LMA with Crain Media who owns KHTE.  Salem purchased KZTS/Little Rock (101.1) from seller George Flinn for $1.1 mil earlier this month.


EMF is purchasing KJXJ/Franklin, TX from Tommy Vascocu for $325,000 cash. KJXJ is a C3 located north of the Bryan-College Station market. Current format is Classic Rock (103.9 The Wolf).


A reminder that the CMB Station of the Year eligibility period is May 1, 2017 through April 30, 2018. Stations can submit their entries starting on May 1 through June 4. Finalists will be announced July 9.


TWR’s 100,000-watt AM station in West Africa is celebrating 10 years of broadcasting the gospel.

With a potential audience of 190 million, the West Africa Transmitting Station (WATS) broadcasts a diverse slate of programs in many indigenous languages, including Hausa, Igbo, Twi and Yoruba, in addition to French and English. Its programming reaches into areas where large populations of Christians and Muslims live and where militants frequently operate.
