WAKW/Cincinnati (Star 93.3) flipped to ALL Christmas music the day after Halloween. WAKW PD jeff Evans says, “It’s kind of become a tradition now… I think we’ve been doing it for 8 to 10 years now at this point. It’s kind of become a tradition people expect. We start getting phone calls in July and August with people wanting to know when we are going to Star playing it. I think we could start playing it during the summer and people would be OK with it.
Maximum Hits Radio is back. The internet station based in Arkansas returned as a 24/7 online radio station playing Christian hit music and hosted by JMac Jamz. Previously
Maximum Hits Radio previously was a one-hour weekly syndicated radio show hosted by Ray Gauthier who retired. Now after a 5 year break, Maximum Hits returns 24/7 and is hosted by DJ JMac Jamz.
WLRY/Rushville, OH (88.9) celebrates 20 years on the air this month. WLRY GM is Jim Lamneck who joined the station in 2005 after a time at WLOH/Lancaster, OH. Richard Finke, Dwayne Hurst, and JT Burcham formed Archangel Broadcasting in 1999 and applied for the license.
