Salem Media Group’s WFFH/Nashville (94 FM the Fish) encouraged listeners to provide meals to the homeless at Nashville Rescue Mission last week. The effort surpassed the goal of 18,000 meals raising over $43,000 and over 19,000 meals in only 16 hours. Word records artist Dave Frey from Sidewalk Prophets joined the on air team in the final hours and sang to the homeless men at the mission at the conclusion of the event. Fair Trade recording artist, Jasmine Murray, joined the effort and sang for the Mission men.
