Tamara Moore joins Compassion International as event planner. previously she was with Capitol CMG. Tamara told HisAir.Net, “I’m so excited for this next chapter joining the Compassion Productions team as an event producer and getting to help kids around the world while doing something I love. I am so grateful for the time and experience I had at Capitol and will miss the team there immensely”.
Due to a merger between Immaculate Heart Radio and Wisconsin-based Relevant Radio IHR GM Dick Jenkins has exited. Jenkins joined IHR in 2012 after a long stint with EMF as one of its founders.
The “Now” newsletter reports EMF has purchased new signals in the San Francisco Bay Area. The deal includes the $25,000 purchase of an FM and the $389,000 purchase of an about-to-upgrade translator. KRSA, a Class A at 89.3 licensed to the San Mateo County town of Moss Beach which EMF is selling. Meanwhile the more valuable property is the translator licensed to San Francisco. It’s K277CH at 103.3, currently licensed for 10 watts, but can be upgraded to to 99 watts at 1,247 feet above average terrain.
Today the FCC will discuss a Report and Order eliminating the rule that requires radio stations to maintain a main studio located in or near its community of license. The NAB, and many broadcasters believe the rule must go.
