Founder and chairman emeritus of American Family Association and American Family Radio, Rev. Donald E. Wildmon, will receive the NRB 2017 “Hall of Fame Award” at the upcoming annual convention. NRB president and CEO Dr. Jerry Johnson said families across America have benefited from the “tireless efforts” of Wildmon and AFA over many years. AFA began in 1977 as the National Federation for Decency; the ministry’s name was changed to American Family Association in 1988. The American Family Radio network was launched in 1991 and now offers three different formats across almost 200 stations.
Wildmon will receive the award on Thursday, March 2, at the NRB International Christian Media Convention in Orlando, Florida.
The new book from Salem Radio Network talk host Michael Medved “The American Miracle: Divine Providence In The Rise of the Republic”. The book has just made the Top 10 on The New York Times bestsellers list in the Religion, Spirituality and Faith category.
TWR has launched “TWR Motion” a fully integrated visual-media component to its array of tools to help fulfill the Great Commission. “We’ve seen that radio and video are complementary mediums, so it’s great to have TWR Motion to bring a fresh, visual context that can build on the foundation TWR has created,” TWR CEO Lauren Libby said. In addition to producing video content, Motion will provide training and support for TWR national partners expanding into visual media.
Salem Media Group announced today the end of “The Bill Bennett Interview” which has aired since last April on the Salem Radio Network every morning, and on many of its affiliates on the weekend.
