Founder and chairman emeritus of American Family Association and American Family Radio, Rev. Donald E. Wildmon, will receive the NRB 2017 “Hall of Fame Award” at the upcoming annual convention. NRB president and CEO Dr. Jerry Johnson said families across America have benefited from the “tireless efforts” of Wildmon and AFA over many years. AFA began in 1977 as the National Federation for Decency; the ministry’s name was changed to American Family Association in 1988. The American Family Radio network was launched in 1991 and now offers three different formats across almost 200 stations.
