16 years ago to the day Hurricane Katrina devastated the southern US, Hurricane Ida battered the Louisiana coastline on Sunday. As the storm moves inland, the extent of the damage and those affected is growing.
In advance of the storm, Convoy of Hope pre-positioned relief supplies in Shreveport, Louisiana, allowing their Disaster Services team to respond as quickly as possible. As Hurricane Ida made landfall Convoy of Hope was already distributing resources to the hardest hit areas, with additional relief supplies on standby.
