Compassion / Hope Media Group Team Up
Compassion International’s radio marketing team announced a partnership today with Hope Media Group.
Hope Media Group (HMG) engages an audience of more than four million individuals worldwide with positive multimedia content over radio and online mediums and includes familiar Christian radio brands like Houston-focused KSBJ, the national network of WayFM stations, the new Spanish Christian station “Vida Unida,” and more.
Compassion and HMG will work together to reach a goal of 6,000+ child sponsorships in the Africa and South America regions over a three-year period. Through monthly financial support, prayer, and letter writing, sponsors can invest directly in the lives of children living in extreme poverty.
“This is a great example of joining forces in a big way to accomplish big things,” shares Joe Paulo, president and CEO of HMG. “It’s no exaggeration to say that this will be a life-altering partnership. Thousands of kids will experience release in Jesus’ name while thousands of people through our platforms will experience the joy of generosity and of new relationships.”
HMG’s mission is “engaging people to love Jesus, serve others, and spread hope,” and when children in poverty are sponsored through Compassion, they receive this hope.
Compassion blends physical, social, economic, and spiritual care together to help children in poverty fully mature in every facet of life and transcend what is often a generational legacy of poverty.
Sponsored children attend church-based child development centers where they receive life-changing opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach, such as health care, nutritious food, key life skills training and vocational programs, educational opportunities that complement and supplement their schooling, recreational activities to develop self-confidence and social skills, protection from violence and danger, ongoing Christian training, and a chance to see the truth of the gospel in action.
Matt Hahn, manager of influencer partnerships at Compassion, adds, “I couldn’t be more excited about the kingdom-minded partnership with Hope Media Group. They are giving their amazing audience an opportunity to be both local and global in releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name through the work of the local church and Compassion.

Founded in 1952, Compassion partners with more than 8,500 local churches in 27 program countries to deliver spiritual, economic, social, and physical care to over two million babies, children, and young adults in poverty.
