Legacy Broadcasting is expanding it’s “Today’s Christian Country” with agreement to purchase 100,000 watt KHKM/Missoula, MT (FM 98.7) from Townsquare Media pending FCC approval. The “Today’s Christian Country” format was first launched in 2013 on Legacy’s primary station KYMS/Spokane.

“We welcome the Legacy Broadcasting group and look forward to their making a great contribution to our great community here in Missoula and Western Montana,” said Scott Richman, Market President, Townsquare Media Missoula. “Lee and his team are great broadcast professionals and we have enjoyed our work in helping them expand their footprint in Montana.”

Curb | Word Entertainment’s Love & The Outcome unveils their third studio LP, Only Ever Always, today (4/1) — listen HERE. The full-length project releases on the heels of the one-year anniversary of the flood that destroyed the couple’s Nashville home, which occurred only a week after they recorded their current radio single, “I’m Not Lucky, I’m Blessed.”


WNWC/Madison (Life 102.5) listeners have helped make over 12,000 meals possible for refugees in and around Ukraine. As listeners gave to Life 102.5 during the Spring Fundraiser, a generous donor paid for the resources needed to provide meals through Feed My Starving Children. 

 Steve Young, Life 102.5 Station Manager said, “We were incredibly moved by the passion and desire of so many Life 102.5 listeners to help refugee children and their families in Ukraine and the surrounding countries.” 

 Andy Carr, Vice President of Development and Marketing at Feed My Starving Children said, “Supporters of Feed My Starving Children are thrilled to provide 12,320 meals to the Ukrainian relief efforts in honor of the generosity of Life 102.5 supporters. FMSC is proud to partner with ministry organizations like Life 102.5 who share our goal of feeding God’s children, hungry in body and spirit. We believe that together we can share the love and heartbeat of Jesus whether with an encouraging word or a warm meal to ALL in need. Thank you for helping to feed so many of His kids!” 


April Fools Day PRANKS:

At KNWS/Waterloo (Life 101.9) afternoon host David Dein hosted the morning show but pretended it was the afternoon show.

At KYTT/Coos Bay, OR (98.7 K-Light) is was April FUELS Day. No foolin’ on Friday’s Morning Show, PD Rick Stevens told HisAir, “It was actually a very fun promotion to “redeem” April Fools Day, we called it April Fuels Day. We gave away a bunch of fuel gift cards.”

In Bakersfield there was a  DJ swap with KAXL/San Bakersfield (88.3 Life FM) personalities Jon Engen, Matt Pelishek, and Aaron Perlman, KDUV/Visalia (Spirit 100.1) Rob Anthony, and KRWI/Bakersfield (Rewind 98.1 & 93.5) Danny And Kait Hill.

And while we’re on April Fools Day remember this one 17 years ago today when the House FM/OKC became The Horse FM. For 2 hours during McCoy in the Morning with Brent and Janelle, changed the format of the House FM to Christian Country. Brent and Janelle became Buckey and Tumblewe. Listen HERE.


Dan Celia, the host of “Financial Issues” on Christian radio, has passed away after a lengthy illness. Dan aird on American Family Radio (AFR) and hundreds of other Christian radio stations and TV networks at various times across the U.S

American Family Association president Tim Wildmon told AFN it’s a huge loss for both ministries. “Dan was just a wonderful Christian brother, a personal friend of mine. He was just so multi-talented,” Wildmon shares. “He’s going to be sorely missed by American Family Radio listeners.”
