Bethesda Christian Broadcasting has flipped KTPT/Rapid City from positive modern rock to contemporary Christian worship music and named the station 97.9 The Breeze. KTPT General Manager Tom Schoenstedt says the change was made because of trends. “We’ve seen for the last decade or so that this new style of music … is becoming very popular — even in mainstream churches today. Spirit Radio/Ireland is celebrating its 5th anniversay. According to new figures from Amarách Research Spirit Radio is reaching 540,000 adults each week and the station is most popular with young adults in the 25-34 age group. Speaking on these numbers, Spirit Radio CEO Rob Clarke, said “since we started Spirit Radio five years ago it has continued to grow from strength to strength; people have really warmed to our mix of compelling speech content and uplifting contemporary music with a positive message.
